File Sharing

I finally figured a way to store and share files on this blog (I think).

Click here if you are interested in downloading a copy of the grading checklist.

Click here if you are interested in downloading a copy of the notebooking starter pages.

I'm keeping my fingers crossed that this works :)

Joan - I just came across that site today. It is called Google Sites and it is a free website/wiki creator from google. I put a mini version together to share files here but I see so much potential for personal and school use.

If you cut and paste this website into your tool bar you can watch a short video. http://www.google.com/sites/help/intl/en/overview.html

Below the video you can see a classroom sample.

I haven't done much playing around, other then to start sharing files, but plan to soon.

Thanks for sharing. There's another site that's free called Media Fire to upload documents. I found my school's firewall wouldn't let me access it.

By the way, the last page in your starter pages file, says science contact. I assumed you meant contract.

It was meant to read science contact page. I usually have my parents fill out sometime the late part of the first week of school. I glue it to the inside cover of the students notebook so I have contact information immediately if I need to get a hold of a parent. I rarely used it last year and really should have weeded it out this year...but didn't. Chalk it up to being overly distracted with the start of the school year just around the corner (Monday for us).

This is really cool that you are there helping out other teachers. Just so you know I voted for you teacher website. Right now I am obsessed with animoto, but I think I will try out this file sharing program.

Tanea - Thanks for voting for my website. I need to get my kids on that :)

Hope things are going well for you in school.
